Terea skipped happily over to the Nirethscrip table, her eyes lingering on the large red phoenix banner that was the symbol of her new house. She liked phoenixes. She giggled when she thought of how her mother would react when she heard her eldest daughter had been sorted into Nirethscrip. Both her parents had expected her to be in.. what was that name.. Callidas. Terea didn't understand why they had to give the houses such difficult names. Nirethscrip. Who could pronounce that without having to practise half an hour? Anyway, it did't really matter what house she was in, as long as she felt at home there. Reaching the table, she took a seat, filled with happy anticipation of the year to come.

Hai Quan sat down beside the girl and said "Hi, I'm Hai Quan, and you are?" he looked at the house emblem and sighed, he was a water person, not a fire person, oh well, least he was here.

Terea was happy when the boy joined her. "Oh I like your name!" she said. He looked a bit put off. Then she remembered he'd asked for her name. "Oh I'm Terea. Livelon." She saw him look at the phoenix banner and was a bit disappointed when he didn't seem too happy with it. Wasn't he glad to be here? But looking at him again she knew he was.

Ari silently ate her breakfast next to the girl called Terea...Well, moved her food around the plate until she got bored of it and abandoned the eggs and bacon for her potions textbook...And she listened to their conversation with great interest instead of reading the ever so enlightning paragraph on a simple boil cure potion.

Terea looked up from her now almost empty plate. The boy had asked what extra subjects she had.. She started to answer but couldn't think of what she'd chosen, it had been quite a hard choice, they had all seemed interesting.. She closed her mouth again and thought very hard. "Em.. Herbology I think.. and.. oh I don't really remember.. Well, I'll look it up later.." and she shrugged it off. This happened to her sometimes, she was used to it.. She looked over at the girl on her other side and wondered why she was all silent, she didn't seem that happy, she wasn't even eating. Maybe she's just a bit shy. "Hello, I didn't see you before, who're you? I'm Terea and this (she pointed at the boy) is.. is.. Hai!" Luckily, her mind hadn't gone all blank again.

Ariana peered over the book after a moment, realising that the girl was addressing her.

"Erm, well, I'm Ari. Ariana Nocturino." She replied quietly, smiling slightly though the girl couldn't see as the pages of her old potions book covered half of her face. She was a little startled that she wanted to talk to her, but maybe it wasn't a bad thing. She might even gain a friend.

"Everybody here has such special names!" Terea said happily. Then she saw the book Ari was reading. "You're reading potions? At breakfast?" She thought that was quite strange. She preferred Charms at breakfast and Potions in the afternoon. "So, what subject to you like best?" she asked, curious about this girl.

"Erm, yeah. It's just the first textbook I grabbed from my bag." Ari replied as she closed the book and placed it on the table in front of her, her plate disappeared long ago to the kitchens after she had abandoned it.

"I like all of them really. But I have to say, Flying class will always be my favourite. How about you?" She said, eagerly waiting for breakfast to be over so she could hop onto a broom and kick off into the air again.

"I am here professor," Ariana said as she popped her head over the top of an old potions text book. She knew this had something to do with the battle the professors had had outside. Information wasn't usually kept from the prefects but she supposed the professors would tell them soon enough.

Suddenly the doors flew open and a gush of wind filled the Great Hall, knocking over glasses of unfinished pumpkin juice and causing the Monthly Owl to rip it's pages as professors read the newest article on the Death Eternals. Mysterious Happenings were going on at the school. The Great Hall may imitate the weather outside, but it didn't usually affect the people in the room.

The wind died down after about a minute, but it left a mess of ruined breakfasts and the feathers from startled owls all down the main entrance of NaKaoms Academy. Spirit, or the dead professor 'Komodo' as he calls himself now, was not the cause of this. Lots of other events will occur over time which will either increase the student's experience or destroy them before Shamor can even unleash his deadly army.

Irena walked into the Great Hall looking around before spotting her house table as the gush of wind blew in and seem to knock everything off.

'Well, there goes breakfast,' she thought to herself. In actual fact she wasn't all that hungry, but seeing this mess stirred up some kind of confusion in her she didn't understand.

Pushing her thoughts aside, she walked over to the Nirethscrip table and found an empty seat, hoping against hope that there would still be at least a cup of coffee left.
